Our Branch creates, implements and carries out a system of regular monitoring of pesticide quality and participates in monitoring of pesticide residues in plant material, as well as efficacy testing of chemicals used for plant protection, including conducting studies on side effects of chemical treatment.

Pesticide efficacy testing is conducted for the purpose of new product registration but also for improving and implementing new programs of plant protection.



CONTROL:
  • OSO-01- Mandatory quality control testing of pesticides currently distributed and used in agriculture. The testing is commissioned by the Main Inspectorate of State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service and financed through grants of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

  • POZ-02- National monitoring of pesticide residues in plant material (Collaboration – financed through annually received grants from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and commissioned by the Main Inspectorate of State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service; performed jointly with Pesticide Residues Testing Department at Plant Protection Institute in Poznan).


TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Quality testing of pesticides currently distributed and used - extending pesticide expiration dates, issuing statements and opinions with regard to disputes, claims and other cases (biological and chemical methods) involving pesticides.
