Plant Protection Institute (PPI)

Plant Protection Institute is a research and development unit established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It has operated for over 50 years according to its statute, whose specific projects have been performed in scientific departments in Poznań at the Branch in Sośnicowice and Experimental Field Stations in Toruń, Rzeszów, Białystok and Trzebnica.

Sośnicowice Branch

Plant Protection Institute, Sośnicowice Branch is a research and development unit involved with dissemination, implementation and provision of services with regard to plant and environmental protection according to our mission statement: „To conduct research and development and share findings and knowledge in the field of plant protection and to create scientific and practical bases to further plant protection in Poland with consideration of its safety for treatment contractors, consumers and the environment”.

The Branch currently employs 47 people in its two scientific departments and administrative offices. It has three labs, two administrative facilities and owns a 10 ha experimental field. Additional 4 ha is being leased for field experiments.
